I visited Assisi in 2024, and I brought back indelible memories. A gallery curator said the arch couldn't be interpreted in my painting. So 2 years later I painted it over. This is what it looked like. The historical spirit of the place not only attracts the eye, but the stone arch adds depth and perspective and serves as a metaphorical gateway to another time.
